The Snow Queen: Magic Comes from Us!

Hans Christian Andersen created for the first time in the history of Armenia, a mondial glasial stage play performance of the Story of the Snow Queen» based upon the fairy tale of The Snow Queen. The premiere will be played first in Yerevan, and followed by a all-over- Europe road tour!

A fairy tale that teaches us to keep a faith and hope for the best, and inspires there are no barriers to true love, that even the most malificient l witchcraft becomes powerless and defeated versus the human heart.

The on the ice-show action will unfold to a tune by famous Armenian composer Edgar Ganjumyan, whose charming music literally breaks to tears and at the same time heals the soul. This awesome, grandiose glasial show will host the skaters of Armenia will appearин on the ice.

The best costumier designer of Armenia, the Director of the Atex Fashion Center Mrs. Karine Dnoyan, invents the original, stylish, bright costumes and actor’s toggery of the figure skaters.

Hans Christian Andersen’s magic story of the Snow Queen is a deep, profound literature masterpiece shaped in a fabulous form. This fairy tale is about the struggle of good and evil, emotional warmth on one hand and about the snow, blizzard and the cold of the icy heart, with the laater “granted” to the Kay-boy by the malificient Ice Queen….this is a miracle that you believe in! The Christmas tale tells about the ardent, passionate love and friendship that can move mountains in their path in a single bound and no universal evil can resist them. Magical gliding and air flying (on ice skates!) create an atmosphere of fabulousness and unreality of everything happening on the stage.

Stage productions and film adaptations of this fairy tale are numerous all around the world, and each stage producer and director has adjsuted this magic tale to own creative ideas. This time, art masters will turn the fairy tale into a magic ice show from Europe and Armenia.

Our version of The Snow Queen spectacle show is a unique symbiosis of genres, organically combining figure skating framed by bright spectacular lighting effects, and the sempiternal issue of the struggle between the good and the evil, and the victory of the warmth of love over the cold of alienation.

The show contains many plots and pieces that children and their parents believe inedlessly. All the fabulous creatures – the Snow Queen, the Troll, the Talking Flowers, magicians, animals – against the background of multifaceted magic and reincarnation. The storyline will cover an abundance of large-scale scenes that can only be realized in an ice show, aimed at striking an unforgettable effect on the audience using the latest light and sound technologies.

The multimedia «effect» instantly moves spectators to different places of unfolding events, here and there in the house of Gerda and Kai, through the windows of which the eternally cold Snow Queen takwes her view, then to the town plaza, where children rejoice in their Christmas holidays and enjoy skating, then to the flower kingdom of Prince Narcissus, then to the hide-out of robbers, then to Lapland with it’s northern lights.

That is why one can say with absolute confidence that our team’s choice in favor of this masterpiece for the New Year’s family show has a clear bottom and background, starting with the plot ideas and gointg through original costumes and specially written music and dialogues. The duration of the performance will be an hour and a half. The ice show will be held in English.
